Hello! My name is Lia and I am an artist, photographer, wife, mommy to two beautiful children, and a daughter of God. I enjoy dancing, singing, playing music, fitness, friendship, food, travel, food, culture, good books, sweet wine....did I mention food?!
I was born and raised in the South East Asia, this beautiful country called Indonesia and moved to the States after high school to pursue a higher education. However, I have technically been living in this amazing land for more than I have lived in my home country. I call both homes - the one I was born and raised in and the one that was born and grown in my heart.
My photography journey started some years ago when I lived in Southern California. I hoisted my first DSLR camera in Fall 2007 for some photography classes - without the intention of pursuing a photography career. Long story short, a few months later I was second-shooting my first wedding for another photographer. That was it. I officially fell in love with wedding photography. By early 2008, I booked my first wedding and the rest is history.
I love capturing the emotions and all the pretty things on wedding days. But mostly I found that through my photographs, I'm able to express myself and channel my creativity to create images and stories.
I am a wife and a mother. My husband Joe and my children Laurene and Levi are my world and the love of my life. I feel so blessed to have a husband that loves me unconditionally. My relationship with my husband and the love I have for my children inspire me and help me to be a better photographer.
I feel honored to be doing this for a living. Grateful for the chance to be a part of such a significant time in people's lives - be it a wedding day or simply just to capture those sweet, fleeting moments in life. I commit and promise to provide my clients with best care possible and beautiful, quality images. I hope to get to know you a little bit in the process of all these - I'd be delighted to meet you and chat with you over coffee or wine or ice cream!
Last but not the least, I have seen and tasted that God is good throughout different seasons and stages of life. He is the source of all good things and the true Artist who provided all this astonishing beauty of creations around us, big and small. He is real, and His love is even more real. God is amazing and what a blessing it is to be loved by Him.
